Santa Fe will come with 2 powerful V6 engines with good economy. One of them is the new 2,7L and second is 3,3 L.. both with a ALU construction.
2,7L is upgraded for year 2007 and now has variable valve timing and produce 185 Hp and 183 lb/ft torque. It is more powerful than its older version.
Also comes with improved economy compared to 2006 model.
The 3,3 litre V6 is lighter and more efficient. Also it is cleaner than previous 3,5 litre. The new one produce 42 Hp more. Its output is 242 Hp and 226 lb/ft torque.Both engines meet ULEV emissions requirements.
The 2,7 L engine has a standard speed manual with option of 4 speed automatic Shiftronic. 3,3 L engine is equiped with 5 speed automatic gearbox.
Hyundai Santa Fe comes with AWD system which brings power to those wheels offering the best wheel traction. Driver can also lock the system to 50/50 fixed torque between front and rear. This improves traction for specific conditions.
Safety Technology
The new Santa Fe comes with most effective safety technology. It features 6 standard airbags, side air curtains for all seats. They protect heads of passangers during side impacts. These side curtains are optional for many other Suvs like Toyota Rav4 and Ford Explorer.
